Personal Description:

Hey there, I’m Shane. I’m a professional musician who has been playing guitar for 25 years and I have over 10 year's teaching experience. I love to share my passion by helping people learn guitar and ukulele.

Are you a complete beginner who’d like to learn guitar basics from scratch, or you’ve been playing a while and would like to improve your skills?

Maybe you’ve been looking for a ukulele tutor for your child to give them a great introduction to music?

Whatever your age, level and musical interest I have the skills and experience to help you make incredible progress with guitar.

Tutoring Experience:

- Current freelance guitar and ukulele teacher in primary schools across Greater Manchester
- 10+ years primary and secondary teaching experience with reputable music services
- 10+ years private tuition for adults and children
- DBS Checked
- Lessons delivered over Zoom or Skype

Tutoring Approach:

I generally teach from guitar tab and chord sheets, though am also able to teach music notation reading and music theory.

I have taken many students through exams in the Rockschool, RGT, and Trinity syllabuses and can guide you through the process. Taking exams can be a great way to level up on the instrument and can give you a real confidence boost in your skills.

My approach combines teaching popular music from a wide range of genres whilst incorporating fundamental technical elements. I find it beneficial to introduce musical concepts in their context and to provide an authentic reference on which to build your skills. I'm also open to personalised lessons using material suggested by the student which can help motivate you to achieve your musical goals.

If you have any questions, let me know and I'd be happy to answer them over the phone or via email.
