Personal Description:

I have been involved in music for almost 15 years, playing in bands, studio recording and most recently forging a career in live sound. I am an accomplished guitarist and songwriter who produces and records songs and albums.

Tutoring Experience:

I am new to teaching, but I'm on the lookout for students to whom I can transfer my knowledge and passion for the guitar, bass guitar, music theory and production.

Tutoring Approach:

I have a classical understanding of music and can read and write music. I see a lot of value in learning to read and write music, along with the associated theory. I feel that often this subject is not engaging as it is not taught in a useful way. By learning classically, you will emerge a confident and capable musician able to perform in many different situations, and will find it very easy to pick up new instruments if your tastes change. I also like to balance this with learning to improvise and create songs, if you are interested. I shape my teaching approach and balance learning songs, musical theory, song writing and improvisation to meet your needs.
