Information About Scott - Liverpool teacher
This is how 2 referees rated Scott:
I'm a recent graduate from The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts and currently a full-time employed musician. I have extensive studio and live experience playing in professional environments in top venues across the UK. Coming from a musical background, I have been brought up around music which has given me a solid foundation of theoretical knowledge and reading which has undoubtedly progressed my drumming throughout my career. I achieved my grade 8 with distinction when I was 16 so I have had a good understanding of drums from a young age.
As I have been a student for the past 3 years I haven't had much time to take on any pupils. Prior to this, I did have a number of pupils back home which did help me to develop my teaching method. My first lesson will always be free as well so we can discuss what you want to get out of the drums and the best way to move forward.
As always with tutoring, my approach will be tailored to what the individual wants to get out of the drums, whether it be just for fun or to start building a career in the industry. I have been lucky enough to have had numerous tutors throughout the years, all of which have given me great experience on what teaching techniques work and which don't. However, I believe that the most important aspect of drum tuition is finding a way to inspire the student. You can go in depth into technique and rudimental exercises but if it's not done in a manner which is fun and exciting for the pupil then there's no real motivation for them to progress.
