Offering lessons of 45 minutes or 1 hour.

I am an experienced singing teacher with qualifications held from both ABRSM and LAMDA examinations. As well as being a teacher, I am also a professional singer, performing in various venues up and down the country. As well as this, I work often as a supporting artist for the BBC, ITV and Netflix and have experience on film and **Contact Detail Removed**vision sets. I have been involved in several shows both in South Wales and England, most recently being Sweeney Todd, Carousel, Oliver!, Oklahoma!, as well as several showcases and Musical Theatre variety shows. I also sing as part of a professional 5 piece vocal group, and as a soloist, at weddings and other events.

I am passionate about Musical Theatre, and believe that all children deserve an opportunity to explore the creative arts. I am involved in local musical theatre societies and am active stage performer. I am experienced in coaching pupils through LAMDA Musical Theatre Examinations if they so wish, which also provide pupils with UCAS points. I am able to take pupils from Entry Level up to Grade 8.

I have a great understanding of not only Musical Theatre but of music theory also, with years of experience playing woodwind instruments with qualifications in Clarinet. I can help pupils not only with their performing but help them gain a wider knowledge of music if desired. I will support with music theory up to Grade 5 level. I also teach more experienced pupils about vocal anatomy and how our voices work, which I believe to be an important part of learning how to sing. If you know "how we sing", it gives you a better idea of "how to sing"!

There is no obligation however to take these exams, and I also take pupils who enjoy singing casually or just want a bit of extra confidence!

Tutoring Experience:

I am experienced in teaching all ages and levels of singing. I teach a wide range of styles, from musical theatre to pop, and tailor my lessons to each pupils specific wants and needs. I have many pupils who do not wish to take exams and just want to sing for fun and confidence building.

I also offer audition preparation services for students wishing to audition for Universities/Conservatoires, with my pupils gaining places in several schools around the UK, most recently Italia Conti and Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Some of my students have been dancers wishing to take musical theatre modules and routes on their course, and I can offer coaching in this also.

Tutoring Approach:

I have a very organised but fun approach to singing lessons. Each lesson is planned our prior to delivery, but I am firm believer that singing lessons should be an enjoyable experience for pupils. I am experienced in dealing with performance anxiety and confidence issues with pupils, and pride myself on my pupils being able to overcome these issues.
