Personal Description:
I qualified from Cardiff University with main studies in Clarinet and Piano. I also have extensive brass experience having played in brass band since the age of 15. I enjoy teaching music and also performing.
Tutoring Experience:
I have been teaching instrumental lesson since the 1980's, starting whilst I was still at school, and have developed my teaching practice through plentiful CPD both from other musicians and through my role as Head of Music in a local secondary school.
Tutoring Approach:
I enjoy teaching students along whatever course they want to take - be that preparing for graded exams ( I have 100% pass rate) or playing for pleasure and relaxation. My main aim is to create a love of music and your chosen instrument, to introduce you to some of the wide repertoire available and enthuse you to become the best musician that you can be.
I am always happy to offer a free trial lesson so that we can meet and get to know each other as well as being able to discuss individual requirements.
I am offering online lessons during the Covid-19 situation.
