Sarah enjoys an illustrious performing career as a cellist, having received a Distinction in her final Masters recital at the Royal Academy of Music, previously graduating from the Royal Northern College of Music with a First Class BMus(Hons) degree.
Her numerous national and international awards include from the BBC, Royal Philharmonic Society and EMI Music Sound Foundation. Sarah has appeared multiple times on radio and television in the UK and abroad, including solo performance for BBC Radio 3’s Live in Concert, while media features include in Classical Music Magazine.
Also highly qualified as a pianist and composer, Sarah has performed as a pianist on BBC Radio 3 and as an accompanist for masterclasses with leading international professors at the Royal Academy of Music. Sarah has won multiple awards as a composer, including the coveted BBC Proms Young Composer's Competition, and has received a BBC Commision as well as recording at the Maida Vale Studios.
Several of her large scale ensemble works have been broadcast on BBC Radio 3 and she premiered her own commission for solo cello and orchestra with the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra in Germany.
Sarah performs with several ensembles: GY Duo (with acclaimed pianist Yuanfan Yang), Duo Amare (with RPO violinist Esther Kim) and Platform Music (a contemporary orientated chamber music project, co-directed with internationally award-winning violinist Luke Hsu, and Varinia Oyola Rebaza ARAM).

Miss Sarah has experience teaching at specialist Junior Conservatoire level since 2013, including cello tuition, chamber music coaching and individual and group tuition in improvisation/aural/theory.
Lessons offered include specialist individual tuition for all ages, as well as personalised music appreciation sessions for classical music lovers.
A keen promoter of classical music with young people, Sarah appears as Ambassador for the BBC Proms Inspire Scheme and working as Mentor with the Awards for Young Musicians' Talent to Talent Scheme.
