Personal Description:

Hello! I am a music producer (using Logic), DJ, bass guitarist and sound designer currently based in Bristol. Whether you are starting out for the first time, want to develop your existing skills or learn a different approach to music-making, I am committed to helping you realise your full musical potential in a laid-back, fun and dedicated atmosphere.

I am an established electronic music producer with an accomplished history of freelance work in music production and sound design. My music is broadcast frequently on BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra and BBC 6 Music, not to mention countless podcasts worldwide. As a DJ (and as a direct result from the music I make), I have performed all over the UK, Europe and the USA. I started out as a bedroom DJ making terrible beats in a tiny North London bedroom, but after a decade of honing my skills and ironing out the kinks I can now offer truly experienced tuition on what it means to be a music producer in the current musical climate.

Tutoring Experience:

So far my teaching experience has been on an ad hoc basis as I have been preparing to begin tutoring professionally. I want to ensure my students get their best possible tuition, which I now believe I can offer comfortably and confidently.

Tutoring Approach:

In general, I have a casual approach to tuition and feel that a comfortable environment is best when dealing with tech-heavy problems, as they can confuse and bewilder first timers! My philosophy is that there is a balance between musicianship and technical ability, where both skills must be harnessed in order to realise your full potential as a producer. However, the most important thing is the student's enjoyment. Making music is fun so learning to make music should be fun too!
