Information About Rose - Leeds teacher
After studying music at the University of Leeds, I have since gained vast experience teaching cello both privately and in a school environment.
Since beginning to study cello I have had numerous opportunities to develop skills in musicianship and as a solo and ensemble player. I have enjoyed opportunities to develop my coaching, leadership and creative skills by working with and teaching both young and adult musicians in a variety of contexts.
Rose's enjoys both teaching and performing in a variety of environments including orchestra Leeds Sinfonia, my string quartet, pit orchestras, and session work.
I have been working in a school environment for three years now and privately. I teach all ages and cater to what my students want from their learning of the instrument - whether it's just for fun, to be able to play in an orchestra, a band, or if you want to take Grade exams, I am able to guide you on your music-making journey.
I mainly teach classical music, as this is how I learned but I have also performed pop music in bands, and am happy to teach this style.
In your first lesson I will teach you how to sit comfortably with your cello, get to know how it all works as well as to find out your long term aims for learning the instrument. I will cater to what you need, and we will start to enjoy the new (or old) relationship with your instrument.
Please feel free to get in contact with me if you have any questions about her teaching, about learning the cello, or learning music in general and I will get back to you. Start your cello learning journey today!
