Personal Description:
I am a Professional Violinist married to a Professional Cellist, in my 40s.
I hold a Performers' Diploma in Violin Playing, and freelanced in Europe for around 20 years before deciding to settle into teaching.
I have given recitals, played with Chamber Groups, String Orchestras, and Symphony Orchestras performing in prestigious venues mainly in Italy and Switzerland,
I really enjoy teaching, and am thrilled when my students catch the bug for playing, and simply cannot get enough!
Tutoring Experience:
I trained with some good teachers; David Stone, Emmanuel Hurwitz, Manoug Parikian, Paolo Borciani, Stojian Kalchev, Alexei Mikhlin (both Queen Elizabeth Competition Prize Winners)
I also travelled to St Petersburg for training, which is where my main schooling is from.
I have taught on International String Courses and can teach many different levels, including etudes by Mazas, Kreutzer, Rode, Dont and Wieniawski
Concerti by Viotti, DeBeriot, Komarowski and Myaskovsky.
Tutoring Approach:
Technique and music, hand in hand… I like to balance the two elements, trying to develop both in a natural and balanced way.
I am easy going & down to Earth, but I can also be quite frank and honest… my web site has more information
