Information About Riley - Manchester teacher
This is how 3 referees rated Riley:
I am a violinist and conductor, and am currently studying my masters in orchestral conducting at the Royal Northern College of Music. In 2018, I graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where I was a student of the renowned teacher Simon Fischer.
I have 5 years of teaching experience, from primary school age up to advanced adult amateurs. As well as being a private violin tutor, I have also conducted and coached chamber music during my time in London.
I recently completed my BMus (Hons) in classical violin at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where I studied with Simon Fischer. My time with Simon has influenced my own teaching hugely, and I try and approach lessons with my own students with the same flexibility and energy I experienced during my time at Guildhall.
Everybody responds differently to teaching, so I have tried in my years of experience to equip myself with as many teaching techniques as possible. This is to ensure that every one of my students progresses to the best of their ability and has a customised lesson plan.
Having an advanced knowledge of music theory is an essential part of my conducting degree. I believe helping a student advance their knowledge of theory leads to a deeper understanding of the inner workings of music, thereby adding to their overall enjoyment of listening and playing.
