Information About Richard - Bristol teacher
This is how 2 referees rated Richard:
Richard is a twenty six year old Classical Pianist based in Bristol and previously studied Classical Piano at Birmingham Conservatoire under the tuition of Jonathan French, John Thwaites and Robert Markham.
Having being taught from a very young age by established Jazz Pianist Brian Kirkby; his sole teacher before attending Birmingham Conservatoire, Richards playing style is very distinctive and unique, combining elements of both classical and jazz idioms. Richards passion for music lies within both Classical music and Jazz with repertoire ranging from Brubeck and Gershwin to Rachmaninoff, Ravel and Beethoven.
Whilst at University I took part in many Performance, Accompaniment and Master classes where I was able to develop my teaching techniques.
I have also accompanied a range of singers in rehearsals, functions, exams and concerts and performed in a range of different classical ensembles. As well as this I have also been the pianist in several Jazz groups.
I am a very keen and motivated piano teacher offering tuition in popular and classical piano and music theory and will always endeavour to tailor lessons to each individual pupils needs, whilst maintaining an emphasis on good technique and effective practice.
