Personal Description:

I began playing the piano at the age of 8 and I was working as a professional musician 10 years later. I taught myself to play the Organ in New Zealand and also had 3 lessons with renowned organist Chris Powell at Baycourt on the mighty wurlitzer, as well as learning my skills as a church organist. As well as being 30 years experienced in Brass band. I am working towards becoming a well known musician in the region of County Durham and beyond. I am currently at Bishop Auckland College, studying HND music. I've held the post of church organist in Evenwood for 4 years.
As a pianist, organist an d keyboard player, I consider myself to be a leading wedding and event musician performing all over North East and West England and Yorkshire , playing in churches and civic venues for Wedding Ceremonies and Breakfasts. He plays for all types of events, Drinks Receptions, Summer and Christmas Balls, Birthday and Anniversary parties etc. All styles of music are covered, from Classical to Jazz, Pop and Rock. Regular wedding venues have included: St Lukes Ferryhill, Care homes in and around Newcastle, local venues both large and small as well as travelling to Hillbark Hotel, on the Wirral, SFX Church, Liverpool. Crosby Liverpool, Rudding Park Harrogate, York Clifton Parish Church, and a Catholic wedding in Leicester. As well as resident weddings and concerts in Evenwood, Cockfield and Lynesack where I am the recommended pianist for weddings and events - specialising in playing Classical and Blackpool style themes.
I have also played piano and keyboards for musical productions in the church and localised hospices.
As well as being a traditional wedding organist, I can offer the option of taking his portable Yamaha PSR S775 into church to enhance or replace the resident organ. This valuable option is often used in small village churches where the organ is not suitable for playing the requested music, or no working organ is available. This means that any requested music, in any style, using any instruments, can be performed in any church or civic venue - bringing that big cathedral organ sound to your wedding ceremony in grand style!
Brides have recently walked down the aisle to 'Arrival of the Queen of Sheba' (Organ) 'The greatest day (take that) 'Bridal Chorus' from Lohengrin (Organ) 'Canon in D' (Organ and Strings) and many more
Exit music includes - Handel's 'Arrival of the Queen of Sheba' (Organ and strings) Queens 'We are the Champions' (Organ) 'Wedding March' (Organ) 'Hornpipe' from Handel's Water Music (Organ) 'All You Need is Love' (Organ) J S Bach's 'Toccata in D (Organ) 'Scotland the Brave' (Organ) and many more
The music for your wedding should be everything you’ve dreamed of - whatever you desire, I want to make it possible. So if you require traditional wedding music, or something more modern - or even a combination of both, he is the perfect choice to play for your wedding. Working closely with you, giving lots of help and advice if required, I guarantee 100% that the music is perfectly tailored for your special day.
I can also play that special "time to say goodbye" after giving a very professional service at over 50 services at St Paul's Evenwood and appearing in his own organ extravaganzas
Following on from a recent nomination Notes of Life has been crowned:
Best Private Event Keyboard Musician 2018 - North East England
I have a friendly style, enthusiasm and flexibility, and outstanding musicianship which has earned me much respect from friends and customers everywhere. Where new friends have been formed. My favourite quotation is "Where Words fail Music Speaks"
