Information About Richard - Bromley teacher
This is how 2 referees rated Richard:
I play piano accordion in several nationally known folk bands including **Removed By Admin** Ceilidh Band and **Removed By Admin**.
My playing is melodic and rhythmic, with interesting bass lines and harmonic developments. Some of my compositions are well known and played at folk sessions.
I have my own recording studio where I have recorded many released CDs. I use Cubase on a PC.
I have played piano and bass guitar in bands since 1963 and was in a major rock band with international success in the 1970s (**Removed By Admin**).
I have taught in Higher Education since 1987. I am currently a Principal Lecturer at the University of Greenwich. One of the subjects I have taught is Music Technology. I have taught many accordion workshops at the major folk festivals in the UK and Europe. Many of these have been concerned with how to play for dancing with style.
My approach above all is to have fun and build on what a student can already do. I am not interested in students taking formal exams, but in developing an individual style and love of the music.
