I started my music journey when I was 9yrs.
Music is my passion, and I have been studying music for 30years, gaining lots of experience in graded exams in both Piano & singing, accompanying piano and playing for weddings parties as a lodge pianist. I am currently working towards my ATCL in piano.
My piano journey lead me to learning the play the Organ, as my father was a Priest and often, I played for Sunday services and major Church services, including Church weddings & funerals.
I love FUN and in my early years I played piano for Scouting Gang-shows! this was great fun and I learnt and picked up many skills on this journey.
I always want music to be FUN and not pressured. I always like to keep my pupils engaged and to learn different genres of music and to be comfortable in playing and being an "all rounded Pianist. I keep my lessons & theory FUN and always put into practice how I was taught.
On my musical journey I have developed and learnt the production side of music, learning to mix voices. Another passion of mine is writing and arranging music. I learn this skill very early on and love arranging for my Band and other music ensembles. I used to write music for a marching band, where we won trophies in Holland and UK within the BYBA (British Band Youth Association), and DCE, (Drum Crops Europe), where my music was recognised and credited for great arrangements and won awards for my arrangements.
I love animals, I am married and have a daughter.
I am very happy & love teaching.
I have been teaching piano for 5 years, and have placed pupils though graded exams with Trinity College.
I have been a choir leader for 10 years with Rock Choir, teaching singing at all levels, also providing the members with some public performances.
I currently teach a Church Choir, training the choristers towards awards within RCSM.
I had experience in a School teaching music in secondary School, where I was leading the School choir & teaching music to year 9 & 10.
For 15yrs I taught music to a marching band ensemble, where I was teaching children & adults how to play brass & percussion pit instruments.
I am available to teach ON-LINE, on Zoom
I love to have fun and bring the element of fun into their music playing.
I do not push for exams unless the pupil wants to gain exams and I bring theory into the lesson as we go
I want pupils to be able to play all genres of music and will teach different styles within that grade.
Happiness is the KEY
