Rachel has taught composition, ‘cello, piano, saxophone and music theory for over 20 years to students of all ages and levels privately as well as in Schools such as Fulham Prep School in London. She also also taught at educational workshops at the Wigmore Hall in London and tutored Essex Youth Orchestra cello section. As a performer, she has been the principal 'cellist for every orchestra she has player for including the LPYO, WSO, EYO, EYPO and also recorded on several film scores, including feature film 'Kenneth' and 'The Elephant King.' She has composed pieces for children and had them published as well as helping to create other new practice and learning programmes for children learning the piano.

Tutoring Experience:

Over 20 years of experience teaching privately and peripatetic, children of all ages and abilities as well as adults. Rachel was also Assistant Head of Music at University Centre Colchester until 2022. She has a home studio and performs locally, such as at the Mercury Theatre.

Tutoring Approach:

To engage the children, so they enjoy the lessons and want to learn, whilst progressing through pieces and grades to reach their full potential.
