Personal Description:
I have played piano for over 30 years and achieved Grade 8 when still at school. I am passionate about music and as well as teaching piano I also tutor in English and foreign languages, as I love teaching and formerly taught English in schools abroad and now assist at a local primary school and work as an Ofsted registered childminder. I have two children and am a member of a choir and an operatic society and work with an organisation which organises piano recitals.
Tutoring Experience:
I have taught piano to both children and adults and in terms of teaching children, as a childminder I have a level 3 childcare qualification, safeguarding, paediatric first aid and enhanced DBS certificate and am used to working with children, so can make them feel at ease and tailor to the needs of the individual. Parents are welcome to stay for the lessons if they wish.
Tutoring Approach:
I am very used to teaching children and adults and have a friendly informal approach and am extremely flexible. I also try to make the lessons fun.
I offer lessons of either 30 mins, 45 mins or 1 hour if required
