Information About Paul - Maidenhead teacher
This is how 3 referees rated Paul:
I have been playing the guitar since I was 10 and my enthusiasm and passion for the instrument continues to grow.I love playing and learning in many different genres and I am constantly exploring new ideas. I am a specialist in teaching the delta blues and country blues and also the guitar styles of artists like Chet Atkins and Merle Travis.
Since graduating from The Academy Of Contemporary Music in 2008 with a BA Honours in Music Production I have been teaching the guitar, performing in bands and working as a session guitarist/producer. I teach all ages in most popular playing styles from indie/rock to country and jazz.
I tailor all guitar lessons to meet the individual needs of my students. Typically a lesson involves learning how to play your favourite songs from recorded music and they are very practical. I also teach music theory to help my students understand the theory behind what they are playing and to give them a musical platform from which they can start to improvise and express themselves freely. I tend to teach music theory to more advanced students but do try and filter a little bit to my less advanced students as well.
My main emphasis when teaching is to inspire my students and to teach them how to play the music that they love. Each student is unique and so is my approach to teaching them.
