I have been playing Guitar since I was 7… that's about 35 years worth of playing. I also play Bass Guitar and have been doing so for a mere 17 years… Naturally, I have perfomed in many venues, toured and recorded Albums and I continue to work as a session musician.
However, I do love to teach: to pass on the joy and passion I hold for playing is second to none.
I have been teaching Guitar and Bass for over 13 years across Merseyside and have delivered learning to players as young as 5 and as experienced as 85. As well as teaching privately, I also teach in local schools and colleges such as Liverpool and Bury Community Colleges and the University of Chester, thus I hold an Enhanced CRB/DBS check.
I was taught by a Berkley Graduate (arguably the worlds best music school) some years ago and what I learned from him I insist on passing onto my students - essentially he taught me the right way to play the fundamentals. No matter who I teach, everyone gets this same knowledge passed on. What he taught me propelled me in my career as a teacher and player and put me years ahead of my peers.
Alongside this, I run a structured programme to develop well-rounded players who love to play - music is fun!
I also believe the Grades (ABRSM or LCM) are important and whilst the student need not take the actual Exams, I do cover the required learning in depth.

Paul is very talented and patient and is bringing my daughters guitar skills on lovely.
I am sure my son and Paul will get along famously and his teaching will greatly benefit George in the quest to learn bass guitar.
I think George will become a fine player and he's a pleasure to teach
