Information About Olivia - Warley teacher
This is how 2 referees rated Olivia:
I am a current Music teacher with Services for Education in Birmingham, where I teach Oboe, Flute, Clarinet and Recorder. Primarily, my specialism is the Oboe, which I am studying a Master's in at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. Before moving to Birmingham to embark on a teaching and performance career in 2016, I studied at Cardiff University, where I graduated with a First Class (Hons) degree in Music, achieving awards for solo and orchestral performance. I have transport and am more than happy to travel; I also have a dedicated teaching space in my home with a piano if preferred.
I have been a member of the Woodwind department at the Music Service in Birmingham since 2017 and therefore have ample experience in teaching woodwind instruments in whole class, group and individual settings. I have also taught within ensembles at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire's Junior Department, namely the Symphony and Wind Orchestras.
I hold ABRSM Grade 8 Oboe and ABRSM Grade 5 Theory, however have studied post-Grade 8 in theory and analysis at university.
I currently hold an up-to-date DBS certificate.
My approach to Music Tuition is focussed on the students themselves - there is no set way of teaching and everyone learns differently! I believe students should have a choice in experimenting with different musical styles and pieces, and I maintain that choice throughout lessons.
