Nina has given two recitals at the Beniamino Gigli Concert Hall as part of Boyarsky's annual masterclass courses in Italy, and has performed as a soloist with the Vanbrugh Ensemble. In 2018, Nina received the Unaccompanied Bach Prize in the RCM Cello Competition.
Alongside solo performance, Nina has performed with various chamber groups in venues such as Wigmore Hall, St. Martin-in-the-Fields, St. James’ Palace and Cadogan Hall. She has received coaching from Pinchas Zukermann and Nicola Benedetti with the Alessio Piano Trio. They have performed at various venues together in London and the UK Embassies in Washington, Beijing and Delhi. This year, Nina performed Mendellsohn’s Octet with other RCM musicians lead by Maxim Vengerov.
Nina is co – principal cellist of the European Union Youth Orchestra, where she has performed in concert halls such as the Royal Albert Hall, The Royal Concertgebouw, Konzerthaus Berlin and the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg. The Orchestra worked with Vasily Petrenko, Manfred Honeck and Gianandrea Noseda. She has also taken part in an EUYO Chamber Orchestra project with Chamber Orchestra of Europe members Mats Zetterqvist and Richard Lester. She was selected by the RCM for the English National Opera Evolve Scheme 2018-2019, as well as featuring in some performances with the orchestra.
Nina recently graduated from the Royal College of Music with a first class degree. She is continuing her studies at the institution for a Master degree with Melissa Phelps and is generously supported by a Martin Harris scholarship. She has participated in various orchestral projects, and has worked with conductors such as Bernard Haitink, Juraj Valcuha and John Wilson, and has also played alongside Maxim Vengerov and Nicola Benedetti. Aswell as her orchestral experience at the RCM, she is also part of the Alessio Piano Trio. Nina has also participated in many masterclasses with Bruno Delepelaire, Guy Johnston, Johannes Goritzki, Zuill Bailey and Torleif Thedeen.
I am happy to teach pupils of any level and age, and I prefer to travel to the students home. I'm able to prepare you for exams, or just teach for fun - as you prefer!
Alongside private tuition, I am currently working as a teacher for Soundsteps Music School. Whilst studying at the Purcell School, I took part in the Outreach programme which involved travelling to schools around the country, to lead musical workshops with young children. I have also worked as a chamber music coach at the Dartington International Summer School, and in Ferrara, Italy with young musicians as part of a collaboration between the Chamber Orchestra of Europe and the European Union Youth Orchestra.
I am always happy to adjust to what the pupil wants or needs. If you would like to be pushed for exams, or just take a more relaxed approach during lessons - I am happy either way.
