Information About Nielsen - Beckenham teacher
This is how 2 referees rated Nielsen:
I’m a guitar teacher giving lessons from home in Beckenham town centre and have taught a range of abilities and ages. I passed Grade 8 guitar seven years ago and have been playing for over 15 years. From pop songs to learning about jazz chords and scales, lessons can be catered to your needs! In addition to teaching guitar, I also sing, play piano and am a songwriter who has performed at the likes of Ronnie Scott’s and Latitude Festival. My music has been played on BBC Radio 6 and BBC London.
The most important factor when hiring out a guitar teacher is listening to them play. Copy and paste the link below into google to see me playing and also listen to me talk about my approach to teaching.

I pride myself on leaving no stone unturned however I also appreciate how hard it can be to get your head around certain concepts, which is why I focus on consolidating theory before rushing forward and forgetting something that was taught in a previous lesson. So if you are interested in learning how to play guitar, be it as a hobby or as a career, don’t hesitate to message me!
I have taught pupils who have had past experience with other teachers and what I tend to find is some teachers prioritise quantity of knowledge over the quality of playing. This is the wrong approach because you're only going to make the same mistakes going forward. If we can eliminate bad habits from the start, the time in which you can make great progress as a guitarist is dramatically decreased.
An hour lesson is £30
Half hour lesson £20
I have taught a variety of ages, from young children to adults for the last three years.
Music theory is best taught in context, so I tend to teach the theory little by little as the weeks go on. I will teach the correct positioning and focus on overall posture, as well as giving advice on expression, dynamics and other components of making a piece sound great. For a beginner I start the lessons with scales and chords. When the basic chords are learnt we will then go on to learn songs and introduce picking. Thereafter we will learn more complex chords and songs. I enjoy teaching a lot and from my experience my students also enjoy the lessons.
