Information About Nicolette - Banbury teacher
This is how 2 referees rated Nicolette:
Hi there! My name is Nicolette and I am a piano teacher. I am originally from Canada where I grew up and learned piano, music theory, and music history through the Royal Conservatory of Music. I was fortunate enough to be able to instruct music with a private studio while I completed my higher education and I fell in love with teaching. I currently teach in a yoga studio, as well as holding online classes for learners of English as a foreign language. I look forward to meeting you! ★Note: Offering in-house classes starting September 2022!★
I have taught piano and music theory since 2015. I have guided children as young as 4 years old through the Music for Young Children (MYC) program, and worked with older teens and young adults as they prepared for practical and theoretical exams with the Canadian Royal Conservatory of Music. I have also privately tutored older adults on a more informal basis.
I believe if you're passionate and curious about the subject, you'll be able to succeed. I encourage students to take an interest and a degree of independence in their music education which allows me to take a more hands-off approach. I also like to include not only the practical aspects of piano but music theory and historical background for the composers and their pieces. With a well-rounded approach I hope to provide the ideal environment for you to reach your musical goals!
