Information About Nick - Brierley Hill teacher - (2 reviews)
This is how 2 referees rated Nick:
Having first tickled the ivories over 15 years ago, Nick is now a professional keyboards player and tutor, performing across the UK from Plymouth to Inverness and everywhere in between. After somewhat humble beginnings as a boy chorister at his local parish church, Nick has since branched out to all aspects of performance and is available as a vocalist, Musical Director, accompanist, dep or session player.
In 2012, Nick joined the band for the UK-touring stage shows 'Vampires Rock' and 'The Meat Loaf Story', playing to venues such as Manchester Opera House, Edinburgh Playhouse and the Liverpool Echo Arena (whilst donned in full vampire make up!), as well as an appearance at the Ballerup Super Arena in Copenhagen, Denmark.
When not hauling himself across the country with his vampiric troupe, Nick can often be found hauling himself across the country with various function bands and has featured for the likes of Funktion Junction, Nu Soul Generation, The Supersets, 6 Appeal, The Beat Factor, 12th Generation and Miss Isle.
Nick's career has also taken him to the USA, where he spent 3 summers in upstate New York as Musical Director for the theatre and music programs at Chateaugay Summer Camp.
Nick can offer private tuition from his own home in Stourbridge and when not teaching, can either be found being daddy to little Noah or rocking out with Corvus, the melodic rock band whose debut album was released in 2015.
I have been teaching piano and keyboard lessons to children and adults of all ages abilities for over 5 years. As well as private tuition and my current position at Kingston Music Service, this has included working at a children's summer camp in America and at Telford Music School.
I prefer my students to explore a wide range a music, spanning from a more traditional classical approach to learning how to play Daft Punk.

The mix of his experience is really helpful to me, as he is able to understand where I am coming from and what I want to accomplish.
In two meetings so far, has already made several critical, high quality suggestions on how I might plot my way forward in developing my piano playing, sight reading and understanding of theory, by asking good questions and swiftly picking up where I am in these areas.
Fingers crossed, he will continue to prove to be a much valued teacher and supporter.
