Personal Description:

A full time guitar teacher for more than 20 years. I have recently moved back to the UK after a five year stay in France and have settled in the New Forest Area, where I am currently building up a new client base of 1:1 guitar students.

Whilst abroad I lived exclusively from website based projects built around my guitar teaching. I continue to support the Secret Guitar Teacher site where several hundred members access my videos on how to play guitar.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been teaching guitar full time since 1995 and during that time have helped many thousands of people of all ages make the journey from complete beginner to fully accomplished musician.

I have worked mainly with individuals, but also coached whole bands and trained other music teachers to teach professionally.

I was the founding director of Nick's Music Studios in Hove and of the Brighton Rock School Project (later RockSchools (UK) and have set up the websites **Web Address Removed** (going since 2002) and **Web Address Removed** (since 2010) providing guitar teacher training and online guitar tuition to people all over the world.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to teaching is to work with each individual, get to know their musical preferences and personal learning strengths and design lessons around their needs rather than impose any particular fixed syllabus on them.

I like to make learning music fun and exciting, but also have the depth of experience and musical knowledge to take the student as deep into the theoretical side of the subject as they themselves want to travel.

I teach all popular styles of music including blues, jazz, rock 'n' roll, country and folk.
