I am Micky . I am a School Lollypop Man and run the School Ukulele Club. I also run a couple of other Ukulele groups and one to one sessions.
The sessions are for complete novices on the Ukulele and I provide the instruments and music. The Ukulele is great fun. It is a gentle learning curve unlike the guitar which is much steeper. In short you will be playing recognizable songs very quickly.
I am not a Qualified music Tutor. But I am a keen amateur. The School and other Ukulele sessions I run have all been fun to do and brought good results. The Ukulele is such a delight to play. You will soon be hooked.
I have been running the School Ukulele Club for three years. Previously I was a Driving Instructor for most of my life.
My approach to learning anything is to take the subject to it's simplest level. Music included. I have structured an easy path from never having been able to play the Ukulele or maybe any musical instrument to being able to feel confident to play easy to follow songs to family and friends. I start with learning one chord which can be played with one finger on the fret board and work up from there. By the end of the first session you should be able to play three chords. With those three chords you can play many songs from "Happy Birthday" to "Blue Suede Shoes".
