I am a pianist, arranger, musical director and collaborator from Hertfordshire with an ever-growing passion for teaching and educating musicians of all ages. Since beginning my undergraduate studies in jazz piano at The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in 2015, I have since graduated with 1st class honours and become a frequent performer, compère and curator within the Cardiff music scene and beyond. Playing across genres from classical to jazz, I whole-heartedly embrace the particular energies of the music I explore, whilst retaining my own unique musical signature and character.
I have taught in a variety of settings, from whole-class workshops in schools to one-on-one lessons, both privately and as a peripatetic teacher in schools. I spent a small amount of time in Uganda before my undergraduate studies teaching bass guitar and piano as well as community choirs and other outreach projects with a small charity called KiSS.
I also have a love for the Hammond organ and play in a fusion trio called Arkocean. I can offer specific lessons to those wishing to transition from piano to jazz organ.
My musical theatre experience has also given me insight into programming synths using software like Mainstage for shows and concerts, and I can help those wishing to equip themselves with the necessary skills for musical theatre work.
Helping students find and explore music intuitively and spontaneously whilst providing them with the necessary technical facility and discipline to do so.
