Information About Melanie - Wakefield teacher

Personal Description:

I began playing the flute at the age of seven and started to learn to play the piano soon after; adding other instruments such as the saxophone and clarinet along the way.

I studied under the late prestigious concert pianist Katrina George, winning many music festival trophies.

I started my teaching career in 1997 in the Blackpool and Fylde area, moving more recently to the Leeds/Wakefield area.

I continue to enjoy helping young people and adults alike reach their full potential, specializing in Grade V music theory, with or without instrument tuition.

Tutoring Experience:

Established for over 19 years in the Wakefield and previously the Blackpool area. At Adagio Music, all lessons are on a one to one basis. I believe that learning an instrument should be tailored to individual needs and therefore do not operate group lessons.

Tutoring Approach:

My main objective when teaching you is to ensure you enjoy the experience of learning.The Examination Board I use is “The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music”. I have a 100% pass rate and teach all the way up to Grade 8.

I also offer lessons for those who wish to play merely for pleasure and have no desire to take exams and I now offer Skype lessons so I can teach you wherever you are!
