I am a graduate violinist of the Royal Northern College of Music. I started my musical education from the age of 5 on the piano and the violin and have much experience playing with many orchestras and ensembles across the country. I have a great interest in, and enthusiasm for music and teaching.
I began teaching the piano, violin and music theory from the age of 14 and have had much success in helping musicians of all ages in their musical education. Many of my pupils achieve distinctions in ABRSM and Trinity Exams, with one pupil achieving the award for the highest mark for grade 7 violin in the country.
I have worked extensively throughout Manchester as a teacher and performer and I am a violin tutor for the Liverpool Philharmonic In Harmony team!
I believe that music is an integral part of the emotional, social and academic development in young people and it can provide much joy in the lives of more mature students. My teaching approach is personal to each student, depending on their interests, personal goals and style of learning as music is, and should be, accessible to everyone.
I enjoy working with people of all ages and I feel that I am approachable, encouraging and realistic and I am deeply enthusiastic about my subject and passing on the skills and experiences that can be gained through making music.
Most importantly, I aim to ensure that making music is enjoyable!
