Personal Description:
Matt is professional Saxophonist based in London, he graduated from Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in 2019 with a 1st Honours Degree in Jazz.
Since he has played all over the UK and Europe with DJ's and his function band 'The Fix'.
Matt has been 7 years of teaching experience, from 1- 2-1 to classroom teaching, and has experience in Grades and even getting students up to a gigging standard.
Tutoring Experience:
Matt has an abundance of experience in teaching all ages. He has done jazz workshops in schools around Wales and has a lot of experience in teaching privately.
Tutoring Approach:
Matt is extremely lucky that he teaches something that he loves and cares so much for, and this comes across in his teaching.
For Jazz Saxophone lessons his capability to play piano means he can play along with students. He also uses play along tracks to help with playing with a live band.
For beginner lessons on Saxophone and Piano he has a lot of fun tunes to learn including Dr Who and Under the Sea. Matthew will take on absolute beginners as well.
