Personal Description:

I have been working a professional musician for 20 years. My experience includes working as a session musician, performing and touring with various bands, working as a band leader and teaching saxophone. I have played many of London's jazz clubs including Ronnie Scotts, Pizza Express, The Hideaway, Jazz Cafe, 606, The Pigalle Club, The Vortex and many more. Now offering online tuition.

I am endorsed by Yanagisawa Saxophones and Vandoren Reeds. My endorsement deal requires me to run events, gigs and workshops for musicians throughout London.

Tutoring Experience:

I've been teaching saxophone for over 20 years, privately and in schools. This also includes holding regular workshops and teaching in international summer schools. I have taught children from 8 years old all the way up to adults in their 70's! I have an up to date DBS check. I really enjoy teaching and enjoy seeing people achieve their dreams!

Tutoring Approach:

Learning has to be a fun and rewarding experience for the person having lessons. I base my teaching on the individual and their personal goals. Everybody learns differently so it's important to find out how the student picks up information. Adults tend to be different than children and require a different approach. I teach people to use both sides of their brain so they can read music and also improvise and play freely.
