I have successfully taught singing for many years both privately, in schools and as part of my own company, City Music Services where we teach corporates to sing in London. I also held the post of Professor of Singing at Warwick University in the early 2000's.
Although I was trained classically I enjoy teaching all styles and my many students range from contemporary, jazz, musical theatre all the way through to classical.
If we get our posture right/aligned correctly from the outset, this will then form the basis of good vocal production. I approach my teaching in a relaxed and fun way encouraging my students strengths and gently working on their weaknesses. Self confidence is everything in singing as it is in life in general and I gently build this up in my students week by week. Everyone who comes to my music studio will have certain specific vocal issues that need developing and so I work in a very bespoke way, on each student's individual needs. Come and try a 'taster' lesson, I promise you'll love it!
