Personal Description:

I am a Professional Freelance Drummer currently residing in Bedfordshire.

I work locally - running a successful Jazz residency at the**Removed By Admin** Pub (**Web Address Removed**) as well as playing around the Country with different musicians, bands, events.

My professional experience ranges from playing in Orchestra's for Saga UK & Royal Caribbean International Cruise ships.
Playing in the pit band for different Musicals/ Theatre Shows. Jazz small groups, Big Bands (including The National Youth Jazz Orchestra's second band 09-11) and Top 40 Function bands (for parties and corporate events)

I enjoy playing and listening to a vast array of music, especially the Big Band/ Swing era's of Jazz as well as the 60s & 70s Soul/ R&B & Funk music.

Tutoring Experience:

I have taught privately for over 6 years, in between my studies at School/A-Level and whilst studying for my Degree.

I currently teach a number of private students at my house or their homes around Bedfordshire.

I am always happy to take on new enthusiastic students whether they are complete beginners or hoping to develop their skills at a more advanced level.

Over the years I have studied with some of the Top tutors in the Country including Pete Riley & Dave Hassell, which has not only helped me to develop as a musician but also in my approach to teaching and passing on knowledge!

Tutoring Approach:

My approach is to teach around the Students interests. Music, first and foremost has to be fun and enjoyable so this is my priority.
I will structure lessons around the student and lessons will include key elements of technique, rudiments & sight reading.
Over the past few years of studying and playing I have developed a strong foundation in many areas of music. This has enabled me to succeed on the cruise ships where you have to play an array of musical styles to a high level with minimal preparation.
