Information About Marco - Glasgow teacher - (1 review)
This is how 2 referees rated Marco:
My name is Marco and I am a professional conductor and teacher.
I was originally trained as a clarinettist at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama
from where I went on to become a freelance clarinettist and teacher. I subsequently changed my principal activity to conducting and I now operate as a freelance conductor and teacher throughout the UK.
I have had many years experience of teaching, initially clarinet both privately and in various schools in Central Scotland. I am happy to teach clarinet to all ages from absolute beginners to advanced players. I have also been teaching piano privately for a number of years. I specialise in beginners piano for both adults and children ( I hold a CRB Enhanced Disclosure Certificate )and am happy to teach piano up to Associated Board Grade 6 level.
I also offer conducting tuition for all levels and requirements and I specialise in teaching and coaching for amateur choral and orchestral directors where I also offer advice in all aspects of rehearsal and concert technique including devising, scheduling and appropriate programming. I normally include general Music Theory as an integral part of my instrumental tuition, however I am also happy to teach Theory separately.I am equally happy to teach in my home or to travel to pupils. I am happy to consider travelling anywhere within the Greater Glasgow area. My teaching rates are ;
Piano : Adults - £17.50 ( 30 mins ), £25 ( 1 Hour )
Children ( under 16 ) - £15 ( 30 mins ), £20 ( 1 Hour )
Clarinet : Adults - as above
Children - as above
Music Theory : Adults - as above
: Children as above
Conducting : £35 per hour all ages.
I hope to convey through my teaching the passion and love which I have for music. My approach is enthusiastic and I always aim to make my lessons both stimulating and, above all, fun. I am happy to offer tuition towards Grade examinations in all subjects which I teach for pupils who wish it and who I feel would enjoy and be inspired by the exam process ( I have a very good pass rate amongst pass and present pupils ). However, my prinicipal aim is to make my lessons enjoyable with or without taking exams.
