Information About Maija - Dalton-in-furness teacher

Personal Description:

I am Maija, a 31 year old Teacher and Musician based in South Cumbria. I am a Soprano but also sing with a broad range in pop and classical theatre.

Tutoring Experience:

I have experience as a Head of Music at Oversands School in Witherslack, and have a Number of years experience both teaching privately and in School settings. My experience working in a SEMH setting means I can work particularly well with students who may have behavioural or learning difficulties, though my approach has shown to be very effective at supporting students from all musical backgrounds and walks of life!

Tutoring Approach:

I have a holistic approach in my music tuition first gaing a clear idea of the students current ability, and where they aim to be. I then work with students through a personalised curriculum so that they can work with confidence and are able to see how to hit each of their acheivements. I help build confidence by guiding students away from there comfort zones, and working closely in supporting them reach each new acheivement.
