Personal Description:

I am a freelancing cellist and teacher, having previously studied at the Royal Academy of Music, where I recently completed my Master of Arts (Distinction) after having gained a 1st-class Bachelor of Music Honours degree from the same institution. I have also been a Chamber Music Fellow at the Academy, where I coached undergraduate students in Chamber Music.
Born and grown-up in Sweden, surrounded by 6 cello playing sisters, I have had music in my life for as long as I remember.
I work in London and Hertfordshire as a chamber and orchestral musician, private teacher and as a soloist.
Please note - for travelling to students in London I charge a small extra fee to cover my travel expenses.

If you require help finding an instrument, I am more than happy to assist.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been a private tutor for over five years time, having tutored in mainly Cello, but also Music Theory, Composition, and piano. Currently I work for London Music Masters, St Albans Music Academy and Centre for Young Musicians. I have also done outreach work with the charity 'Play for Progress', leading workshops at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, as well as the Southbank Centre.
I have also been invited to teach at courses for children in Sweden, as well as giving masterclasses and guest teach at the most prominent music school in Sweden, Lilla Akademien.

I am in the process of obtaining my LRAM diploma (Licensiate of the Royal Academy of Music).

Tutoring Approach:

I try to tutor after the philosophy that there is no such thing as "things you can't do" - you just haven't been taught it the right way!
If you are looking for a highly dedicated teacher who wants to help you all the way to success - I am the right tutor for you!
