Personal Description:

I started piano lessons at the age of seven and singing at the age of four. I was very lucky because although my parents are not musical they always supported and encouraged my interest in music, which led to becoming a self employed musician at the age of just sixteen and completing a degree in Music at the University of Hull in 2014.

Now a full time music teacher, covering Piano, Voice, Song writing and Theory and a performing musician, in both cover bands and my own original material. I have taught children from as young as four to play the piano and sing using my fun, patient and caring approach to support students regardless of their musical ability.

Tutoring Experience:

Voice tuition in singing at the Institute of contemporary music Belfast from end of 2010 to beginning 2011. Setting up and running dance classes at RSS Holywood in 2009 and 2010.

2014 and 2015 I taught an after school Pop Choir (7-9yrs) and one to one tuition in singing, piano, theory and song writing through The Rhythm Studio (London) and Bespoke Music tuition (London) and ran school music workshops at a special needs school.

Currently I teach Peripatetic Singing at a secondary school in Leeds, through Music Schools in Yorkshire and on a self employed basis.

Tutoring Approach:

My goal is that each of my pupils feels confident, supported, empowered, challenged and enthusiastic. Lessons with me are engaging, inclusive, encouraging and most importantly fun!

Lessons are available at my home in a Chapeltown on Tuesday evenings.
Slots for home visits are available on Thursday evenings.
