Personal Description:

I am a vocal coach in Seaford with 10 years of teaching experience. I love teaching and have a wealth of experience teaching hundreds of students at different stages of their singing journey! Singing is a really powerful and therapeutic skill. Whether you want to sing professionally or just for your own enjoyment, I will guide you every step of the way!

Tutoring Experience:

I began by teaching private 1-2-1 singing lessons in 2010. I have taught all ages and abilities in many styles and genres. I have also taught various group singing workshops.

I was the vocal coach and performing arts teacher at Stagecoach Theatre School, B- Starz Academy and Heathfield Drama Club. In a couple of these schools, I also ran a-cappella youth choirs.

As well as teaching, I have worked as a professional songwriter for various publishing companies, writing and recording production music for use in film, TV and radio.

I worked for many years as a session singer, singing on radio jingles and recording the backing vocals for many of the karaoke tracks you may hear on Spotify!

I also appeared as a panel judge for Sky's Teen Star and performed at various events around the country in bands and as a solo act.

Tutoring Approach:

I am a very supportive, honest, patient and encouraging teacher. I specialise in vocal health and technique offering in depth advice and knowledge about the biology behind singing.
As a creative person, I use creativity in my lessons to help my students discover more about their own voices and what they can do. My lessons are fun because I whole heartedly believe that the journey is more important than the destination! I tend to use backing tracks over piano accompaniment so that students can sing out to their hearts content with all the instrumentation they need to feel that magic and umph that music brings.
Through many years of teaching, I have found that students often need help with confidence, self esteem and common fears such as stage fright, in order to achieve their goals. I have worked with many students, helped them overcome these issues and proudly watched them bloom in to confident singers!
I do also offer songwriting lessons. I have years of songwriting experience and I love the creative process of building a song from scratch. Budding singer/ songwriters can alternate between singing and songwriting lessons if they would like guidance with both.
