This is how 2 referees rated Lindsay:
On completing my degree at Birmingham Conservatoire, I then went on to work as a Musician for Holland America Line where I had the fantastic opportunity to sail around the world for two years. I gained a great deal of life experience and confidence during this time having been placed in a band that I had not worked with before and living closely with musicians from all over the world.
I am currently teaching Secondary music at Saint Wilfrids Church of England Academy in Blackburn. I teach Music to KS3, GCSE and A-Level students and I am also employed by the school as a Peripatetic piano tutor. I have been teaching Piano privately for six years and have been working as a secondary school teacher for one year.
I have a 100% pass rate and my students range from complete beginners to advanced.
I am highly committed to teaching Music having taught Piano privately for several years. I have recently transferred my skills over to the classroom where I have realised my true passion for working alongside young people in guiding them to achieve their goals in music, with the highest standard possible. My lessons are generally student-led (as learning an instrument is a very personal thing!), although I heavily encourage scales and study practice to ensure a good technique and a reduced chance of injury.
