I am a versatile young violinist with a wealth of experience playing in orchestras, chamber ensembles and as a soloist.
My three years of study at the University of Manchester gave me the opportunity to perform an extensive range of traditional and contemporary repertoire, and enabled me to perform actively throughout the city. Having graduated with a first-class music degree in 2018, I am now eager to further my career in performing and teaching as a freelance musician.
I enjoy working with children and young people to encourage the education of classical music. This interest stemmed from working on an outreach project as a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain (NYO), called 'NYO Play the School', in 2014. I have continued to work on educational music projects since then, including the Halle Adopt-a-Player scheme as well as performing in schools with the MUMS Music Outreach committee.
I recently joined the Midlands Suzuki teacher training course; having been involved in Suzuki music education for most of my life either studying, stewarding or observing on courses, I am excited to further my knowledge and understanding of this highly successful teaching philosophy. I am keen to acquire pupils based in Manchester and am happy to teach students of all abilities, from beginner (4+) to advanced.
I am happy to teach using both the Suzuki method and traditional teaching methods. My main aim is to provide music tuition to allow my students to find their passion and enjoy the process of learning the violin. I specialise in classical music teaching.
