Information About Lesley - Broadstairs teacher - (1 review)
This is how 2 referees rated Lesley:
I'm located in Broadstairs where my lessons are held and have been playing and teaching music for many years. I first taught my own children piano and enjoyed the experience so much I decided to pursue a degree in music performance in 2003. I have a good sense of humour and try to create a relaxed atmosphere where my students are able to enjoy the lesson time and make good progress to their best of their ability.
I have been teaching piano for many years, working with students of various ages and abilities. I am very patient with my teaching approach and flexible with my working hours.
I like to be friendly and put my students at ease so that they can develop confidence and concentrate. I use various exercises and a repertoire of music books and theory books to develop technical and artistic aspects of playing, depending on the age and ability level of the student. I build theory into the lessons using music the students are studying as theory examples. I try to maintain a balance between personal enjoyment and challenging oneself therefore music exams are optional. If a student doesn't understand something, it is my responsibility to explain, try another angle or try something different and to encourage my students to interact. Accompanying adults are welcome to sit in on lessons. Lessons can be booked for 30 mins at £15 or 60mins at £25
