Personal Description:

Born and educated in Britain, I am a professional violinist based in London. I was a recipient of a scholarship to the Hampshire Specialist Music Course at the age of 16, and went on to study at the Royal Academy of Music, London. I also trained in piano and voice to a high standard, and enjoy teaching these. In addition to my strengths as a musician, I hold a degree from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in History of Art, and studied theatre at the Jacques Lecoq, Paris, following which I worked as a professional actor with BBC Radio Drama and the Hampstead Theatre. Languages and travel are a great passion of mine, and as well as speaking fluent Finnish, I have enjoyed learning French, Italian, German and Arabic.

Tutoring Experience:

As a teacher, I have worked in some of London's most challenging schools, delivering group violin lessons, alongside coaching students at my private teaching practice. I have some excellent students in the Kensington and Chelsea area who have achieved very good ABRSM examination results and gained places at Junior Guildhall. In Dubai, I taught violin, piano, cello and voice in very high-achieving schools, and coached students through the ABRSM examinations, with excellent results. I also formed and conducted 3 successful youth string orchestras, and provided coaching for string quartets, both in London and the UAE. My students range from complete beginners to advanced students, and ages 4-60! I strongly believe that anyone is capable of learning a musical instrument and, above all, enjoying the experience!

Tutoring Approach:

I offer private **Removed By Admin** **Contact Detail Removed** ages and levels of playing. I am committed to building a strong technical foundation, and am happy to progress through the ABRSM examinations, or simply work on technique and progress through a range of repertoire. My enthusiasm and happy demeanour ensure enjoyable, motivating lessons and I get very good results from my students.
