Hi, I am Laura and I hold a BA in Music Education and a MMus in Performance.
I am biligual (English and German) and have studied in both Countries.
Apart from music I also enjoy dancing and horse riding.
I have been teaching flute one-on-one, in groups, ensembles (both flute and mixed winds) and music theory since 2009. My students have gained "distinctions" in their grade exams and have succesfully auditioned for conservatoire degree studies. I also teach students at university level.
I love passing on my knowledge of and passion for music. I think music is a fun thing to do and I always strive to make it fun for my students. In my 5 years of studying music education degree specialising in flute (piccolo, flute, alto and bass), I learnt how to adjust my teaching style to my students needs. As I think music is something that should be taught not just one-on-one but also in groups, I like organising extra weekend workshops where all my students can meet and make music together, focusing on e.g. ensemble playing, composing together, modern playing techniques and more!
Having had tuition in Germany and England myself I have experienced a lot of variety in teaching and think I combine a lot of different styles to suit my students.
