Personal Description:

I am a freelance musician with a broad range of performance experience, ranging from operas with Scottish Opera, to the 02 arena with Billie Eilish, to improvising for B-Side records with house music producers. Originally from Malta, I study in Scotland and London, and have now returned to Scotland.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been teaching for the last 10 years, and have successfully coached students of all ages, from 5 year olds wanting to learn their first instruments, to ex-professional period instrument performers looking to switch to modern flute. Some of my past students have gone on to gain places at specialist music schools, and I have a proven track record when it comes to music exams.

Aside from one-to-one individual tuition, I have also taught in music services around London and as a whole class music teacher for woodwind, keyboard, ukulele and recorder, with experience of successfully hosting events, concerts and services.

Since the start of the pandemic, I have been successfully teaching online and provide all of my students their own online learning system.

I have experience working with neurodiverse and special education needs / disabled children (SEND).

Tutoring Approach:

I believe in a well-rounded music tuition that centres around the student and what their tastes are. Lessons with me will include aural skills, history of music, technique, simple composition and transcription, improvisation, ensemble playing, as well as a solid grounding in music theory. And we will definitely play some of your favourite tunes!
