Laura **Removed By Admin**, BMus (Hons) DipABRSM
I'm a Cellist, Cello Teacher and Music Theory Teacher from North London. I began learning the cello at the age of 8 and have studied with many renowned cello teachers, including Sue Lowe, Robert Max and Anna Shuttleworth, as well as playing in masterclasses with Alexander Baillie, Louise Hopkins and Pierre Doumenge.
I graduated with a first class degree in music performance from the University of Leeds, during which I spent a year studying in Frankfurt’s Hochschule fur Musik und Darstellende Kunst. I have played in orchestras throughout life, and currently play with the London International Orchestra, as well performing with a number of chamber ensembles.
I have a wide amount of teaching experience, teaching and coaching pupils of all ages and standards. I am experienced at teaching individual lessons, string ensembles, orchestral coaching, whole class instrumental learning/string groups, as well as teaching music theory lessons. I also have experience in Colourstrings teaching and Kodaly method. I currently teach privately, as well as in private and state schools in North London.
I adapt my teaching style to each pupil individually, which is of course dependent upon how they learn, practise and improve. It is very important to me that all my pupils enjoy learning to play the cello and I aim to achieve the highest possible standard from each of my pupils.
