Tutoring Approach:

Music is … well, it just is! Some of you want to just play, others want grades. Let's do both.

Some of you are intimidated by other musicians - there is no competitiveness in my lessons.

I believe in learning by doing - not by watching the tutor show his or her clever playing. Let's get the music going quickly - and enjoy it. We learn much faster when we enjoy, and it keeps us motivated.

We're all at different levels; we all have different skills, approaches, reasons. But we can all sound good and feel great when we play.

Music I believe, should be simple and challenging enough to play and enjoy, and then build in the technical aspects. I believe that it isn't about what you know ––––––––––– it's about how you express it.

I believe it's important to learn from others and to play what you love, and I believe in using what you learn to make it work for you!

Keith Richards explained that the guitar is a never-ending fascinating instrument, always something more to learn - I completely believe this.

My advice would be to play what you know … your way … for you. Study the music theory, understand what you do, so that you can grow and keep enjoying everything you do - enjoy the music that YOU make.

Soloing - I think that it's about one note at a time. Better to make that one note sweet, than a dozen notes sour.
