Information About Katy - Haverfordwest teacher
This is how 3 referees rated Katy:
I am a keen flute player, having passed an ATCL performance diploma with distinction. I started learning when I was 9 years old, before going on to study it during my music and maths degree. I enjoy performing as both a soloist and as part of a group. I have competed in the Urdd eisteddfod for a number of years and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I performed with the National Youth Wind Orchestra of Wales and also the National Youth Orchestra of Wales. I am passionate about teaching and helping my students reach their full potential.
I began teaching flute to pupils of varying ages whilst I was still in school. Since then I have gone on to work as a qualified primary school teacher.
I believe that encouraging musicality and the enjoyment of music is essential to learning an instrument. This involves choosing pieces that the student enjoys and which suit their style of playing. I am very patient and flexible to the needs of each individual.
*Due to the current situation, I am also able to teach remotely via Zoom or Skype*
