Personal Description:

I am a peripatetic teacher for singing and flute and I am a graduate from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. I'm enthusiastic and outgoing in nature and always come up with new and creative methods of teaching- more often than not on the spot! Teaching plays a huge part in my musical career and I thoroughly enjoy it. I love teaching all levels from complete beginners to advanced pupils as they each have something different and interesting to offer. I find that I too learn a lot off them in discovering what strengths they have and what areas need improving on. I have also included recorder lessons onto my profile as I teach recorder in primary schools as well. If your child is missing their recorder lessons in their school, I am happy to pick up from where they left off in their learning.

Tutoring Experience:

I have taught several pupils over the last few years helping them prepare for concerts and exams. I've also taught pupils of varying ages from 8 years old to mid 40's. I've also done several outreach projects within primary schools which I very much enjoyed. I am also teaching many of my current students online during the covid outbreak.

Tutoring Approach:

During this covid-19 issue I am also offering online teaching with a reduced fee as well as I appreciate that virtual lessons are not the same as face to face lessons.
Now that restrictions are easing I am continuing my 1-1 in person teaching for £26 per hour or £16 for half an hour.
Regardless of online lessons or not, I always tailor my lessons to each individual pupil as everyone learns slightly differently regardless to what age they are. I will also always ask what the pupil wants to get out of these lessons in regards to working through the exam grades; preparing for concerts; or just to improve your technical and musical ability on the instrument. The most important thing especially during time is to make sure the student is having fun in their lessons!
