Hello! I am a violinist based in Manchester, UK, where I have spent the last three years studying at the Royal Northern College of Music and the University of Manchester. In July 2020 I graduated from the university with a first class MusB (hons), and I will be finishing my studies at the RNCM over the coming year. Music has always been a massive part of my life - I began learning violin and piano at an early age and achieved DipABRSM qualifications in both instruments whilst at school, alongside many hours spent playing in various ensembles.
Since I began learning, I have been fortunate enough to learn from and collaborate with many inspiring musicians, and I am now really excited to be able to share my knowledge and experiences with others through instrumental teaching.
Tutoring Experience:
I have experience working with young musicians in a variety of settings, from individual violin lessons to running school workshops and directing ensembles. As well as teaching young musicians, I have also given lessons to university-age students and directed both student and adult ensembles. I also work as a violin teacher for Bandskool in Altrincham - further details about Bandskool can be found on their website at **Web Address Removed**
Tutoring Approach:
My approach to teaching is flexible and I am happy to adapt the style and pace of the lessons to suit individual students' needs. I aim to give a thorough technical grounding and explore a wide variety of repertoire, taking into account any preferences a student might have. I also believe it is important for students to share their progress and successes with others, either through taking graded exams or informal performances opportunities (Covid restrictions permitting!). Through one-on-one tuition, I will work with each student to ensure they find the process of learning an instrument enjoyable and rewarding.
