Personal Description:

I've played violin and clarinet since the age of 7 and it is a driving passion in my life. After achieving my Grade 8 ABRSM I went on to study Music at Cardiff University, violin being my principal instrument. Whilst a student, I played in a number of orchestras and ensembles in and outside the university, lead the University Chamber Orchestra and String Orchestra and co-lead the University Symphony Orchestra. I have additionally been taught by members of the Orchestra of Welsh National Opera.

During the years following my graduation, I played within a number of orchestras, string quartets and musicals and currently play for an amateur orchestra in South East London. My full time role is organising events for a music exam board.

Tutoring Experience:

I taught a number of pupils during my years in Cardiff and my home town in Worcestershire, ranging from complete beginners to more experienced students.

Tutoring Approach:

I am a very patient and focused teacher. My aim is to establish a strong technique, focused and productive practice techniques and encourage a real love and excitement for the instrument and music itself. I am extremely approachable and provide ready encouragement with clear instruction on how to improve. I relish seeing progress and I give full commitment to those who I teach.
