Information About Kate - Nantwich teacher - (1 review)
This is how 2 referees rated Kate:
Before moving to Cheshire, I taught music in Prep Schools in Surrey, where I ran choirs, directed school orchestras and string ensembles and ran theory groups for pupils needing grade 5. I also taught violin, piano and theory privately at my home. I enjoyed playing in local orchestras and in quartets for weddings.
I have taught ABRSM violin, piano and theory for 20 years privately and in schools. After gaining a BMus from Sheffield University, I then spent a year at Orchestral college in London before starting to teach. I have been Head of Music in Prep schools but now find teaching privately far more rewarding.
Learning an instrument should be fun and enjoyable and I teach in a relaxed, child-friendly way whilst still expecting high standards from my pupils. I’m very happy for parents to sit in on the lesson if they wish so that they can support practice at home.
